The Silvretta Arena
The Silvretta Arena connects Ischgl with the Swiss customs exclusion zone and ski resort of Samnaun and offers 45 state-of-the-art lift and cable car facilities and 238 km of perfectly groomed pistes – a true Mecca for skiers, snowboarders and snow sports fans. Between 2,000 m and 2,872 m above sea level, you will find snow-sure north-facing slopes from the end of November to the beginning of May. The Silvretta Arena is one of the best ski areas in the Alps and the 4**** Hotel Mondin is right in the middle of it all.
Skiing and snowboarding
From the practice slope for beginners to the black slope with a 70% gradient. The Silvretta Arena has the right challenge for everyone. Freestyle fans can practise their jumps in the “Ischgl Snowpark”, while newcomers can explore flatter slopes on the beginners’ area. Depending on your fitness level, we recommend the popular smugglers’ circuit in Samnaun in GOLD (61.8 km!), SILVER or BRONZE. Special endurance tests are the racing slopes, the mogul slope and ski slope Eleven from the Greitspitze (2,872 m) along 11 km to Ischgl (1,400 m).
Cross-country skiing
Cross-country skiers will find a true paradise of trails in Ischgl. It is not for nothing that the Tyrolean municipality is a region of “Tyrolean cross-country skiing specialists”. The total trail network of 73 kilometers stretches from 1,377 to 2,036 meters above sea level through the wintry landscape of the Paznaun Valley with breathtaking panoramic views. Whether classic or skating style, the extensive, snow-sure trails in Ischgl and Galtür ensure absolute cross-country skiing pleasure.
Night tobogganing
Depending on snow conditions, tobogganing evenings take place in Ischgl from mid-December to the beginning of April. The toboggan run in Ischgl is one of the longest runs in the Alps. From the Idalp at an altitude of 2,300 meters, the 7-kilometer, brightly lit toboggan run takes you down into the valley at breakneck speed. You cover 950 meters in altitude. Whether with family or friends – the evening will be great fun and will certainly remain in your memories.

Winter hiking
The network of winter hiking trails in the Tyrolean Paznaun extends over 60 kilometers, starting at 1,060 meters above sea level and leading up to 2,036 meters above sea level. Whether you want to push your body to new heights or simply enjoy the peace and relaxation in the wonderful winter landscape, discover the numerous snow-covered trails and be captivated by the spectacular panorama.
Good to know: The neighboring Samnaun in Switzerland can also be explored on foot.
Ice skating
The hotspot for cool moments: The 1,300m² ice skating rink around the Silvretta Thermal Spa Ischgl offers a very special winter sports experience. Glide across the ice with a view of the Tyrolean Alps, enjoy the unique atmosphere and treat yourself to a drink at the ice bar!

Freeriding & ski touring
